The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until midnight AKDT tonight.
* AFFECTED AREA...Upper Kobuk Valleys and Lower Koyukuk Valley.
* TIMING...Until midnight AKDT tonight.
* WINDS...Northwest 8 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 20 to 25 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Lows in the lower 50s.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are developing Wednesday due to a combination of hot temperatures, low relative humidity, gusty winds from the west, and dry fuels.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...RH recovery tonight will likely reach above 70 percent for low lying areas in valleys and along rivers. Hot and dry conditions continue Thursday with sustained wind speeds likely less than 15 mph.
* AFFECTED AREAS: UPPER KOBUK VALLEYS ... LOWER KOYUKUK VALLEY
