FLOOD ADVISORY: Green Bay Police Department Advises to Avoid Unnecessary Travel Due to Street Flooding
Due to significant flooding caused by this evening's storm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the Green Bay Police Department is urging the public to avoid unnecessary travel in the Green Bay area until conditions improve.
A very large number of roads are submerged in water and are currently impassible. Many vehicles across the city have been stranded in the flooded streets.
At this time, the GBPD is unable to provide a list of affected areas as the number of reported affected areas/streets is lengthy and continually expanding as more areas are reported to dispatch. Additionally, the GBPD is unable to provide alternate routes of travel for the same reason.
As a reminder, the GBPD advises all motorists not to attempt to pass a roadway where they cannot see the ground itself.
GBPD along with Green Bay Department of Public Works and the Green Bay Metro Fire Department are monitoring the situation. We are prioritizing call responses to those in immediate danger from the conditions.
