All Newark Police Precincts currently offer Amazon lockers to facilitate the safe delivery of ordered packages to the retailer’s customers. The lockers are available at the following Newark Police Precincts:
• 2nd Precinct, 1 Lincoln Avenue (North Ward)
• 3rd Precinct, 649 Market Street (East Ward)
• 4th Precinct, 247 16th Avenue (Central Ward)
• 5th Precinct, 480 Clinton Avenue (South Ward)
• 6th Precinct, 491 Irvington Avenue (West Ward)
• 7th Precinct, 159 N. 10th Street (North Ward)
• 9th/Metro Precinct, 22 Franklin Street (Central Ward).
How it Works:
When a package is delivered to the assigned locker, the recipient will receive a secure access code from Amazon via email. The code will be entered at the locker’s terminal when the recipient arrives to retrieve the package. If a package is left in the locker for more than three days, it will be removed by Amazon to make room for new deliveries. Customers whose items are removed by Amazon will receive full refunds from the retailer for their non-retrieved items.
