Pleasant Hill Police Department will be making road closures, detours and lane changes in and around the Downtown area for the 4th of July Parade and 5k Fun Run. Crescent Drive and Crescent Plaza will be closed to vehicular traffic. Vehicular traffic on Contra Costa Blvd will be detoured and the use of surrounding roadways for traffic will be restricted or prohibited. Drivers should expect traffic to be impacted by these actions and can expect significant traffic delays in and around the Downtown area. Road closures will begin at 7 am. Traffic should return to normal by noon.
For the 4th of July Firework Display, road closures, detours, and lane changes will occur in and around the Viking Drive area. Viking Drive will be closed between Ruth Drive and Norse Drive from approximately 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Drivers should expect traffic to be impacted by these actions and can expect traffic delays in and around College Park High School to include Taylor Boulevard, Ruth Drive, Norse Drive, Morello Ave, and Golf Club Road.
