LOCATION: I-15 / D Street, Victorville

SUSPECT(S): Vincent Clemons, 35-year-old, Transient of Victorville

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to a report of a man seen with a gun in the city of Victorville. Deputies were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle, however, the suspect fled the area prior to their arrival.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 12:42 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station conducted a vehicle check on a white Dodge Magnum, that matched the description of the vehicle from the previous incident.

Deputies activated their emergency lights and attempted to contact the driver. The driver, identified as Vincent Clemons, drove toward the deputies before fleeing in the vehicle. A vehicle pursuit was initiated and Clemons fled at a high rate of speed failing to stop at signaled intersections. As he approached the intersection of B Street and Hesperia Road, Clemons failed to stop at a posted stop sign and collided with a silver Subaru traveling northbound on Hesperia Road, and a silver Toyota Rav4 traveling southbound on Hesperia Road. The Subaru subsequently collided with a cement wall, overturned and struck a parked unoccupied silver Honda Pilot.

Following the collision, Clemons exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies later located Clemons at a nearby motel, where he forcibly entered an occupied guest room. Deputies took Clemons into custody without further incident.

During the investigation a firearm was recovered from inside Clemons’ vehicle.

Clemons, along with the involved drivers and passengers from the traffic collision, were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. A deputy was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has been released.

Vincent Clemons was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 148.10(a) – Resist/Delay Peace Officer Resulting in Injury, P.C. 29800(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 459 – Burglary, V.C. 2800.2 – Reckless Evading
