| The Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Volunteers in Policing (VIP) Program is proud to unveil a fresh new look for its fleet of volunteer patrol vehicles. The redesigned graphics feature a modern, professional appearance that improves visibility, strengthens community recognition, and reflects the vital role VIP members play in supporting public safety throughout Thousand Oaks. The updated vehicle design offers a clean, highly recognizable look that allows residents to easily identify VIP volunteers as they conduct patrols, perform vacation house checks, assist with traffic control, support community events, and carry out a variety of other public safety functions. The new graphics not only enhance the program’s visibility but also symbolize the professionalism, dedication, and community spirit that has long defined the Volunteers in Policing Program. For years, VIP volunteers have served as an invaluable extension of the Thousand Oaks Police Department, contributing thousands of hours each year in support of deputies, residents, businesses, and community organizations. Their efforts help improve public safety, strengthen community partnerships, and allow sworn personnel to focus on critical law enforcement responsibilities. The Thousand Oaks Police Department is deeply grateful for the commitment and generosity of these dedicated volunteers who selflessly donate their time to serve our community. Whether assisting at special events, providing traffic and parking support, conducting neighborhood patrols, or serving as extra eyes and ears throughout the city, VIP members make a difference every day.
