* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following county, Jasper.
* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 558 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Center Creek at Dogwood Road and Dry Fork at Pine Road. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northern Joplin, Carthage, Columbus, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo, Carterville, Weir, Alba, Scammon, Purcell, Airport Drive, Carytown, Asbury, Neck City, Avilla, Brooklyn Heights, Reeds, Waco, Roseland, Lawton, Oakland Park, Crestline, Skidmore, Stippville and Carona. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
