Narrative:

During the first week of May 2026, the Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) initiated an investigation into Eric Beltran for allegedly selling narcotics within the City of Thousand Oaks.

On June 25, 2026, DEU deputies contacted and detained Beltran pursuant to a signed search warrant for his person, vehicles, and residence. At the time of his detention, Beltran was found in possession of more than $4,000 in cash.

CRU and DEU detectives subsequently served a search warrant at Beltran's residence in Thousand Oaks, where they located a sales quantity of cocaine along with additional narcotics-related evidence consistent with drug sales. Beltran was arrested for Health and Safety Code § 11351 – Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale.

Beltran was transported to the East Valley Jail for booking. During the booking process, deputies discovered that he had concealed cocaine on his person in an attempt to bring the narcotics into the correctional facility. As a result, he was additionally charged with Penal Code § 4573.5 – Bringing Narcotics into a Jail Facility.

Beltran is currently in custody at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with bail set at $300,000.

DEU is comprised of eight detectives, who focus on protecting East County communities by actively investigating illegal activities by conducting intelligence led policing with a focus on identifying and arresting prolific offenders.  If you have any information about illegal activity in the East County areas in the Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction, please contact Senior Deputy Greg Chisari at 805-371-8388.
