Energy Conservation - Due to the forecasts of extreme heat, the city is asking all to conserve energy - especially between 3p & 7p.
Due to the weather forecasts for high temperatures and heat indexes, the City is asking all residents and businesses to conserve energy, when possible. We especially ask all to conserve usage during peak times, between 3:00PM and 7:00PM.
Tips to help conserve energy:
Reduce or turnoff all non-essential lighting when possible.
Adjust AC thermostats to higher settings, when possible. Run fans in place of AC, when possible. 78 degrees is a recommended thermostat setting.
Avoid peak hour appliance usage. Use appliances in the early morning or late evening during cooler temperature times, when possible. Unplug small appliances when not in use.
These are just a few recommendations to apply, when possible, that can help drastically cut your energy consumption.
