Dear University Park Community,
The University Park Police Department would like to remind residents that the Town of University Park's Fourth of July Parade will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, Queens Chapel Road (6500–6700 blocks) and the following intersections will be closed to vehicle traffic from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.:
- Queens Chapel Road & Clagett Road
- Queens Chapel Road & 44th Avenue
- Queens Chapel Road & Woodberry Street
- Queens Chapel Road & Van Buren Street
- Queens Chapel Road & Underwood Street
Police officers will be on site to direct traffic and assist pedestrians throughout the event. Please plan ahead, use alternate routes when possible, and expect temporary traffic delays.
As you celebrate the holiday, please remember that fireworks are illegal in Prince George's County. To report fireworks activity, call 301-352-1200 for non-emergencies. In the event of an emergency, dial 911.
