Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an aggravated menacing incident following an investigation.
On March 11th at approximately 5:45 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of East 31st Street in reference to an aggravated menacing complaint. The case was assigned to Detective Michael Hayman of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation Detective Hayman identified 31-year-old Kennique Chandler as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On June 23rd, officers located Chandler, who was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a consent search of Chandler’s vehicle and recovered a BB gun.
Chandler has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Aggravated Menacing
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on $9,000 unsecured-bail.
