Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who took personal belongings from a victim’s vehicle on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
The victim parked their vehicle in the 300 block of Renner Avenue at approaching 3 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, the next day, the suspect, a Hispanic male, was captured on surveillance video entering the victim’s vehicle and taking several items from the trunk. The suspect was wearing a grey sweater, gray sweatpants, a navy-blue Yankees hat, and black sneakers with red bottoms. He fled southbound on Goodwin Avenue.
