Wilmington Police have arrested a man and a juvenile male on gun charges.
On June 24th at approximately 11:28 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 1200 block of Northeast Boulevard when they observed two male subjects acting suspiciously. Officers made contact with 18-year-old Jayden Selby and a 16-year-old male juvenile, both were taken into custody, after they resisted arrest. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun and a loaded .22 caliber revolver.
Selby has been charged with the following offenses:
- Disorderly Conduct
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
- Attempted Escape (Third Degree)
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court Of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $23,600 cash-only bail.
The 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Disorderly Conduct
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Family Court and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $31,100 secured-bail.
