INCIDENT: Traffic Stop on a Known Street Gang Member Leads to Discovery of Firearms During Probation Compliance Check
LOCATION: Hesperia Road / Yucca Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Enrique Murillo, 32-year-old, Resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On June 26, 2026, at about 6:51 p.m., members of the Hesperia Gang Team conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Hesperia Road / Yucca Street. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Enrique Murillo, who is a known street gang member and is currently on summary probation with search terms for weapons violations.
Following the traffic stop, the Hesperia Gang Team initiated a probation compliance check at Murillo’s residence in the City of Hesperia. Deputies recovered a fully automatic AR-15 rifle, two handguns (including a P80 ghost gun), ammunition, drop-in auto sears, and firearm manufacturing tools.
Murillo was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center and booked on charges of, PC 30305 (A)(1) - Possession of ammunition by prohibited person, PC 32625(A) - Possession of a machine gun, PC 29805(A)(1) - Possession of firearm with specific misdemeanor, PC 32310 (A) - Manufacture or sale of large capacity magazine.
