Important Notice Regarding Excess Water and Sewer Bills

We understand that many residents have recently received excess water and sewer bills, and we recognize that some bills may appear higher than expected. While some overages are legitimate, we have also identified errors in our new billing calculation process.

As we reviewed the system, we discovered that:

• Properties with secondary meters may have had those readings incorrectly compounded rather than properly deducted from the sewer calculation.
• Properties that did not have a meter reading last year may have received an incorrect excess calculation.

The Borough has transitioned from a manual billing process to a computerized system to improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. While this change will greatly benefit the Borough in the long term, we have encountered some issues that require adjustments. We sincerely apologize for these errors and appreciate your patience as we work to correct them.

Please note that our phone system is currently down. Once service has been restored, we will notify residents so calls can be made again.
