Seven Arrested at a Chino Hills DUI Checkpoint
Chino Hills, Calif. – On Saturday, June 27, 2026, one driver was arrested for driving under the influence and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence / unlawful possession of a firearm. Five unlicensed drivers were cited and released at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Chino Hills Parkway and Pipeline Avenue from 6: 00 p.m., to 2:00 a.m.
Deputies contacted 1352 vehicles, screened 17 vehicles and made two DUI arrests.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
