Extreme Heat Warning in Effect Wednesday Through Saturday
An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for our area beginning Wednesday, July 1st, and will remain in effect through Saturday, July 4th.
Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected throughout the region, with daytime high temperatures ranging from 95°F to 105°F and heat index values between 100°F and 110°F. The most dangerous conditions are expected Thursday through Friday. Residents traveling during the Independence Day holiday weekend should plan accordingly and take precautions to protect themselves from the extreme heat.

Due to the Extreme Heat Warning and the Air Quality Alert forecast for Thursday evening, the Monroe Township Summer Concert scheduled for Thursday, July 2nd has been relocated to the:

Please note that most Township buildings will be closed on Friday and Saturday in observance of Independence Day.

Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day, check on elderly family members and neighbors, and never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
