Cranford Fireworks TOMORROW - July 2, 2026
Tomorrow, Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Township of Cranford will continue its celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday with a fireworks display at Nomahegan Park.
The fireworks display will begin at dusk, approximately 9:15 p.m.
Expect road closures and heavy traffic delays in the area before, during, and after the event.
Springfield Avenue will be closed between Kenilworth Boulevard and Orange Avenue. Road closures will begin prior to the display to accommodate pedestrian traffic and will remain in place until the event concludes and the roadway is clear.
With respect to parking, we encourage anyone who is able to walk, bike, carpool, use a rideshare service, or be dropped off to do so in order to help minimize vehicular traffic. We also ask everyone to be respectful of the residential neighborhoods surrounding the park. Please do not block driveways, double-park, block intersections, or hinder emergency access in any way.
Springfield Avenue and the surrounding streets near the park are posted "No Parking." Please read and obey all parking signs before leaving your vehicle. Violations may result in ticketing and, if necessary, towing.
Parking will be available at Union College (1033 Springfield Avenue).
Please plan ahead, expect delays, and walk, bike, or use a rideshare service if possible. Members of the Cranford Police Department will be on site throughout the event and will be happy to assist.
