Deputies in Rancho Cucamonga Locate Loaded Firearm in Vehicle During Traffic Stop

LOCATION: Foothill Boulevard / Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Eduardo Garcia Rodriguez, 30-year-old Male, Resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at approximately 12:30 A.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station were actively patrolling in the area of Foothill Boulevard and Haven Avenue when they conducted a proactive traffic stop on a white Cadillac for California Vehicle Code violations.
Deputies contacted the suspect, who was identified as Eduardo Garcia Rodriguez. During the investigation, deputies conducted an inventory of the vehicle, and a loaded firearm with a large capacity magazine was found.
Garcia Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC25400(A)(1)- Carry a Concealed Weapon in a Vehicle, and PC2310(A)- Manufacture, Sell Large Capacity Magazine.
