Heat Safety Reminder for Tonight's South Brunswick Independence Day Celebration

Join us tonight for South Brunswick's Independence Day Celebration at Crossroads South Middle School! Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with live music, food vendors, family activities, and fireworks just after 9:00 p.m.
 
Heat Safety Tips:

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the evening.
  • Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and apply sunscreen.
  • Take breaks in shaded or cooler areas if you begin to feel overheated.
  • Watch for signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, muscle cramps, or confusion.
  • Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
  • Check on older adults and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
 
South Brunswick Police officers and First Aid personnel will be on scene throughout the event to assist attendees and respond to any emergencies.
 
Parking is available at Crossroads South Middle School and the South Brunswick Municipal Complex.
