Take the 800 Monroe Resiliency Park survey
The City of Hoboken invites residents to provide feedback for the future 800 Monroe Resiliency Park by participating in a community survey focused on the design of the park's tennis courts and dog runs.
The survey is intended to gather community input on preferred features for these recreational amenities as the project moves into the engineering and development phase. Community feedback will be used to finalize plans for tennis court and dog run amenities, alongside engineering, accessibility, operational, and maintenance requirements.
To take the survey, which is scheduled to close on Tuesday, July 14, at 5 p.m., go to https://arcg.is/8iaTW3.
Once constructed, the resiliency park at 800 Monroe will have the capacity to store more than 340,000 gallons of stormwater during heavy rainfall events, helping to mitigate flooding as well as a variety of recreational amenities for residents during clear sky days. The park will include three tennis courts, dog runs, plaza and garden spaces, an open lawn, and outdoor fitness equipment.

New NJ E-Bike registration & licensing law takes effect July 19
Beginning July 19, a new State law requires most e-bike operators to register their e-bikes with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC). Operators must be at least 15 years old, wear a helmet, and possess either a valid New Jersey driver's license or an NJMVC e-bike license.
Appointments are now available through the NJMVC for residents to complete the required registration and licensing process.

Residents are encouraged to review the new requirements and schedule a necessary appointment as soon as possible.

Help eliminate rodents
The Division of Health and the Division of Sanitation work with other City divisions and departments, as well as residents, businesses, private contractors, and utility companies to mitigate the rodent population in Hoboken. This is done through inspections, surveys, identification of food sources, and more.
Residents can also help curb rodent activity by eliminating rodent food sources and habitats from their properties.
Residents should:
- Keep garbage in covered containers, pick up pet waste, and not litter to eliminate rodent food sources.
- Flatten and secure cardboard and remove weeds and overgrown vegetation to eliminate rodent habitats.
- Report rodent activity via email to [email protected].
