Two Arrested in Victorville after Assaulting Victim and Firing Rounds at Local Park

LOCATION: 14000 Block of Hook Boulevard, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Labrieall McDonald, 34-year-old Female Resident of Victorville
Christopher Baker, 44-year-old Male Resident of Twentynine Palms

SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at approximately 8:31 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to Brentwood Park regarding a report of a man with a gun inside a white SUV. Deputies searched the area but did not locate a vehicle matching the description.
At approximately 10:09 a.m., deputies responded to the 13000 block of Sylvan Oaks Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. During the investigation, deputies learned the victim was inside a vehicle occupied by Labrieall McDonald, Christopher Baker, and two juveniles. McDonald, Baker, and the victim had an argument. The victim was struck in the head with a firearm and choked by the suspects before the victim exited the vehicle and contacted law enforcement. The victim was treated at a local hospital.
At approximately 10:52 a.m., deputies received a ShotSpotter notification reporting three gunshots in the area of Brentwood Park. Deputies contacted several victims who reported a female and male occupant of a white GMC Acadia fired multiple gunshots toward their vehicle. One round struck the front passenger door of the victims’ vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspects fled the area before deputies arrived.
At approximately 11:35 a.m., deputies located the suspects vehicle in the 14000 block of Moon Valley Street and conducted a high-risk traffic stop. McDonald and Baker were taken into custody without incident.
Deputies served a search warrant at a residence located in the 14000 block of Moon Valley Street, where they recovered a firearm.
Labrieall McDonald and Christopher Baker were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 664/187(A) – Attempt Murder, P.C. 245(A)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and P.C. 273A(A) – Child Abuse Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury.
