NWS HAS ISSUED AN EXTREME HEAT WARNING THROUGH 8 P.M. SATURDAY
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued an extreme heat warning for the entire region until 8 p.m. Saturday.
Both temperatures and heat indexes are expected to surpass 100+ degrees each of the next three days.
The Senior Center may be used as a cooling station on Thursday, however the building is closed on Friday for the Independence Day holiday. If you are experiencing a heat-related or any other emergency, please call 911.
The new municipal building lobby at 2300 Route 33 is available for a temporary respite from dangerous heat and humidity.
Instructions:
* Avoid excessive activity outdoors.
* Seek shelter or shade whenever possible
* Stay hydrated.
* Check on the elderly and do not leave pets outdoors.
