Crime Bulletin Covering the Week of June 22-28, 2026

When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street. Statistics are captured at the time each Crime Bulletin is written; additional cases may be reported at a later time.

Robberies

There were three robberies during the past week.

On Monday, 06-22-26, at approximately 9:08 p.m., a vehicle occupied by four victims parked at the Wells Fargo parking lot at the Serramonte Center. Two of the victims withdrew money from the ATM before returning to the vehicle. As the victims entered the vehicle and were seated, an unknown suspect entered through the rear driver’s side door and demanded their money and wallets. The suspect also ordered the victims to throw their cell phones out of the vehicle’s window. The suspect then produced a gun and struck three of the four victims. The two victims who had withdrawn money from the ATM gave the suspect their money, and one of the victims threw her cell phone out the window. The suspect then ordered the victims to drive to the northbound I-280 on-ramp from Serramonte Boulevard. Once on the on-ramp, the suspect instructed the driver to stop the vehicle before fleeing on foot. The suspect was described as a male adult, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall, wearing all-black clothing and an orange and red face mask. This investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, 06-24-26, at approximately 11:17 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Dollar Tree on Geneva Avenue on a report of a robbery. A store employee stated that the suspect entered the store, selected several items, and walked toward the front of the store. The employee asked the suspect if he was going to pay for the items. The suspect responded by telling the employee to move out of the way. The suspect then pushed past the employee and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The suspect ran past his vehicle and, after realizing he ran past it, turned around and saw the employee chasing him. The suspect then reached into his pocket, making a motion as though he had a gun. Fearing the suspect was armed, the employee raised his hands and backed off. The suspect entered a black vehicle and fled the area. The employee described the suspect as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’11” to 6’0” tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, wearing a baseball cap with a white front and black back, a white T-shirt, dark-colored pants, and black and white shoes.

On Thursday, 06-25-26, at approximately 6:04 p.m., officers were dispatched to the unit block of Manzanita Avenue on a report of a suspicious person. The victim stated as he was at his front door, three unknown suspects approached him. Two of the suspects went to the victim’s vehicle, while the third displayed a pistol and robbed the victim of two cell phones, the keys to his two vehicles and residence, and cash. The suspects fled in a silver vehicle driven by a fourth suspect. A second vehicle, driven by a fifth suspect, acted as the lookout. The first suspect was described as a dark-complexioned male wearing a blue mask, a black hoodie, black pants, white socks, black shoes, and carrying a gun. The second suspect was described as a dark-complexioned male wearing a blue mask, a black hoodie, black pants with holes at the knees, white socks, black shoes, and neon green gloves. The third suspect was described as a medium-complexioned male, wearing a black mask, a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes, and neon green gloves. This investigation is ongoing.

San Mateo County Alert System (SMC)

Have you signed up to receive these alerts? This alert is a free digital communication system used by emergency management agencies and first responders to send emergency alerts, notifications, and updates to portable digital devices. In an emergency situation, an alert will be sent by San Mateo County authorized personnel, and you will receive messages on your cell phone or mobile device. Most carriers activate the service automatically. To receive emergency alerts, sign up by visiting www.smcalert.info.

Nextdoor.com

Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try!  www.nextdoor.com
