Wilmington Police have arrested three men on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
Members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 700 block of East 10th Street. On June 25th at approximately 10:38 a.m., officers executed a search warrant in the 700 block of East 10th Street. As officers approached the residence 32-year-old Jamil Hill fled from the residence on foot. A short time later, Hill was taken into custody without further incident. Officers recovered 55.92 grams of crack cocaine and 3 grams of marijuana.
Officers made contact with 36-year-old Troy Dale, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered 1.42 grams of crack cocaine. Officers made contact with 26-year-old Amir Booker, who was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers completed the search warrant. Officers recovered two loaded .9mm handguns, one ballistic vest, approximately 63.76 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 37.74 grams of marijuana, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. Officers confirmed one of the .9mm handguns was reported stolen out of Philadelphia.
Hill has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver- Tier 3
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- Tier 3
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
Dale has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and released after posting a $5,000 secured-bail.
Booker has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony- Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver- Tier 3
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- Tier 3
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Three Counts
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $188,200 cash-only bail.
