Heat Advisory: Important Updates and Cooling Resources
Due to today's extreme heat, all M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation outdoor operations will close early at 2 pm on Thursday, July 2.
To help residents stay safe during the heat, designated cooling centers are available throughout Prince George's County, and indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities remain open during their scheduled hours. Please note that on Saturday, July 4, all community centers and designated cooling centers will be closed, except for the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex, which will remain open as the Department's designated cooling center.
We encourage everyone to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on older adults, children, and other vulnerable individuals.
For the latest operational updates, facility hours, cooling center locations, and aquatic offerings, please visit pgparks.com.
Stay safe, stay cool, and continue to Live More, Play More.
Sincerely,
M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County
