INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Not a Firearm)
LOCATION: 10 block of Zoe Lane, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Eugene Cagg, 62 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at approximately 11:56 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 10 block of Zoe Lane reference an assault that just occurred.
During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect, identified as Eugene Cagg, assaulted the victim by striking him multiple times with a braided washer supply line, causing multiple lacerations. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Cagg was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Cagg remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. This investigation is ongoing.
