* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Marshall County in northeastern Alabama... Southwestern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama... Northeastern Cullman County in north central Alabama...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 940 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Geraldine to near Aurora to Steele, moving northwest at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Albertville, Boaz, Guntersville, Arab, Crossville, Geraldine, Grant, Douglas, Lakeview, and Union Grove.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CULLMAN, AL ... DEKALB, AL ... MARSHALL, AL

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Damaging wind and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
