On Saturday, July 4, the City of Sierra Madre will host the annual Firecracker 5K and Fourth of July Parade. To accommodate these community events, the following roadways will be closed from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.:
- Sierra Madre Boulevard between Michillinda Avenue and Claridge Street
- Kersting Court Entrance & Exit
- Baldwin Avenue between Sierra Madre Boulevard and Montecito Avenue
- Mariposa Avenue between Michillinda Avenue and Park Avenue
- Ramona Avenue between Michillinda Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue
Additional Fourth of July events will also be taking place at the Sierra Madre Women's Club and the YMCA, which may increase traffic throughout the area.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, expect delays, and drive with extra caution due to the large number of pedestrians attending the festivities. Thank you for helping keep our community safe. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
