Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) outdoor pools, spray parks, playgrounds, parks, athletic courts and fields will be open. Outdoor pools and spray parks operate from 10 am to 6 pm on July 3 and 4.
On Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, the following recreation centers–and three indoor pools–will open as cooling centers, operating from 9 am to 5 pm:

DPR will operate the following indoor pools from 9 am - 5 pm on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4:
- Turkey Thicket Aquatic Center (1100 Michigan Avenue, NE)
- Deanwood Aquatic Center (1350 49th Street, NE)
- Ferebee-Hope Aquatic Center (700 Yuma Street, SE)
Additionally, all outdoor pools and spray parks will be open on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, from 10 am to 6 pm Check DPR Splash for real-time information on emergency closures or pools that reach capacity.
