Due to extreme heat conditions, all M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation outdoor programs, activities, parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, trails, and other outdoor operations are closed today, Friday, July 3 and tomorrow, Saturday, July 4.
Golf courses will remain open until 1:00 pm today before closing early, while outdoor aquatic facilities will remain open on their regular schedules, offering a safe and refreshing way for families to beat the heat.
Looking ahead to Saturday, July 4, all community centers and designated cooling centers will be closed for the holiday, except the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex, which will remain open as the Department's designated cooling center.
Please stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on older adults, children, and other vulnerable individuals.
