Major Crimes Investigation Underway 
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office is conducting an active investigation in the area of Crows Landing Road near Carpenter Road related to an incident that occurred during the evening hours of July 2, 2026.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Motorists should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes when possible.
