* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Mercer County in central New Jersey... Southeastern Somerset County in northern New Jersey... Northern Monmouth County in central New Jersey... Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 803 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hopewell, or 14 miles southwest of Somerville, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. Strong winds may occur well ahead of any rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Somerville, Sandy Hook, Somerset, Edison, Middletown, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Marlboro, Manalapan, Carteret, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, and Middlesex. This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 15. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 102 and 134.
