The main threat for storms are just now starting to approach NW NJ area. They have been producing damaging gusts with even a recently recorded gust of 75 mph up in Scranton, PA. As they get into our area after 7:30 / 8:30 PM, they should be a bit less than that, with scattered instances of 50 - 60 mph still certainly doable even into sunset as the heat and humidity persist as a fuel.
Additionally, briefly torrential downpours can lead to areas of poor drainage flooding in prone spots. This immediate threat continues mainly 9 or 10 PM, ending by 11 PM.
