Our Borough is actively surveying storm-related damage and working to clear roadways as quickly and safely as possible.
For your safety, please stay away from any downed wires. Even if a wire appears inactive, it may still be energized and dangerous. Please report any downed wires to emergency services and avoid the area.
We are in communication with Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) regarding power outages affecting our community. At this time, there are approximately 109,000 outages reported statewide, including 2,103 outages in Mendham Borough and Mendham Township.
JCP&L has advised that restoring power to multiple substations is their first priority. Once substations are operational, crews will focus on restoring service to critical customers and then continue assessing the Borough and surrounding areas to restore power to residents as quickly as possible.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as crews work to address storm damage and restore services. Further updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
