This evening a series of severe thunderstorms and intense wind impacted JCP&L’s service areas. These storms came in after a day of intense heat and humidity. JCP&L has been in storm mode for several days, with increased internal and external resources working shifts around the clock.
As this storm moves out of the area, JCP&L crews will begin assessment and address hazardous conditions. There are currently approximately 200,000 JCP&L customers out in New Jersey. The JCP&L Local Engagement Team will be providing each county and municipality with updates and assessments as they become available.
