Following last night’s storm, Township crews are actively working to clear roadways of fallen trees and debris. However, in many areas we must wait for PSE&G to de-energize downed power lines and declare the area safe before our crew can begin work.

First and foremost, please secure your property and ensure that you and your family remain safe. If you have an emergency, call 911 immediately. For non-emergency concerns, please contact the Clark Police Department at 732-388-3434.

If your home is without power, please report the outage directly to PSE&G if you have not already done so. Text OUT to 4PSEG (47734), report it online, or call 1-800-46-PSEG (7734.)  Please stay clear of any downed wires and treat every wire as if it is energized. Never attempt to remove tree limbs or debris that may be in contact with power lines.

We have been in contact with PSE&G, but they are currently unable to provide a definitive timeline for when power will be fully restored throughout the township.

To assist residents during the outage, a cooling center will be open at 11:00 AM at the Clark Recreation Department in the Municipal Building. Residents are welcome to come inside to cool off, charge electronic devices, and escape the heat while power restoration efforts continue. Prior to that opening, the lobby of the Clark Police Department will be available for residents who need relief from the heat or a place to charge electronic devices.

We understand how disruptive extended power outages can be, especially during periods of high temperatures. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our first responders, Public Works crews, and utility partners continue working to restore normal conditions as quickly and safely as possible.
