The extreme heat continues on this 4th of July with temperatures near 100 and heat indices between 100 and 100 and 105. If you need cooling assistance, please call the North Brunswick Police at (732) 545-3200.
Continue to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Also, young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Always LOOK before you LOCK!
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Damaging winds are the primary concern, with wind gusts exceeding 60 mph locally. This will renew the risk for downed trees and power outages.
