A Flood Watch is in effect for the area through tomorrow evening. The risk of flash flooding has increased for late today through Monday. There is also a threat for severe weather this afternoon and evening.
Activity will first become possible in the form of isolated thunderstorms later this evening. As we move into the night, storms/downpours to the southwest will organize and push into the region in the hours around/after midnight. Locations can pick up over an inch of rain quickly as this activity comes through.
Tonight's activity will leave behind boundaries that slow-moving downpours can develop along during the day tomorrow. While downpour coverage is tough to pin down, areas under prolonged heavy rain can see rainfall totals in excess of 3" tomorrow alone, which will easily lead to numerous poor-drainage issues.
Totals over a 36 hour stretch could potentially be in the 4 - 8" inch range in the hardest hit spots. Should the high end-totals come to fruition, road closures and water rescues are on the table.
