Oakland Police Arrest Suspects in Grand Lake Robbery Series
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested three suspects believed to be responsible for a series of street robberies that occurred in and around the Grand Lake neighborhood between June 18 and June 29, 2026.
Investigators identified a pattern across multiple incidents where several suspects approached pedestrians during the evening hours, used force or fear to steal personal property, and fled in stolen vehicles.
Through witness statements, surveillance video, technology, and investigative follow-up, Robbery Investigators with OPD determined that the robberies were connected and obtained arrest warrants for the suspects.
On June 30, 2026, Oakland police officers located and arrested three individuals in connection with the robbery series. During the arrests, Investigators recovered evidence believed to be linked to several of the robberies.
The Oakland Police Department believes these arrests have significantly disrupted the robbery series that affected the Grand Lake neighborhood and surrounding areas.
The investigation remains active as Investigators continue to identify and locate any outstanding suspects, review additional surveillance footage to identify any additional crimes that were committed, and work with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office regarding prosecution.
