Illinois man arrested on invasion of privacy charge.
On July 4, 2026, at 8:58 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Gray 2015 Chrysler passenger car for failing to maintain its lane of travel on US 41 near County Road 350 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith identified each person in the vehicle and discovered that an active protective order was issued on July 1, 2026, through Saline County in Illinois involving two persons in the vehicle. After a brief investigation Deputy Smith placed 39-year-old Daniel Carlisle of Eldorado into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Detention Center where he was charged with Invasion of Privacy.
Deputy Michael Bates assisted Deputy Smith in his investigation.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
