Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the suspect pictured below, who took a box containing car parts from a victim’s home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
At approximately 1:05 p.m., the suspect, a Black female, was captured on surveillance video opening the gate of a victim’s home in the 100 block of Underwood Street.
She entered the property and took the box of car parts valued at $400. She was wearing a red/pink hairnet, a white T-shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
