Weather Alert – Potential Flooding
Weather reports indicate a storm is expected to move into our area from Monday into Tuesday, with the potential for heavy rain and localized flooding.
As a precaution, residents who live in flood-prone areas may park their vehicles at the Mill Plain Commuter Lot if they are concerned about rising water levels.
Fairfield Police, Fire, Public Works, and Emergency Management personnel are actively monitoring the storm and remain in communication with the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) Region 1 and state partners.
Residents are encouraged to use caution while traveling and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain. Never drive through flooded roadways.
We will continue to monitor conditions and as more detailed information is made clear, we will distribute it accordingly.
