NOTICE TO COMMUNITY
Western Marine Construction is committed to being a responsible contractor in the SaintPaul Island community while completing the harbor repairs and maintenance project. We understand that recent rainfall has created more difficult road conditions, and we want to reassure you that the safety of residents, families, and all road users remains our highest priority.
To keep the roads as safe as possible while the rain continues, we have implemented the following measures right away:
- Significantly reduced truck speeds along the haul routes.
- Reduced the number of trucks operating and lightened loads where feasible to limit stress on the road surface.
- Deployed dedicated crews and equipment, including loaders, to promptly remove ruts and address muddy or soft areas as they develop.
As soon as the rain stops and ground conditions allow, our team will grade the affected road sections back to smooth, safe condition. We will also resume our regular dust-control watering program and perform thorough daily maintenance to keep the roads in excellent shape for the remainder of the project.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these weather-related challenges. Our crews are monitoring conditions closely and remain ready to respond quickly if any issues arise. If you notice any road concerns that need our attention or have questions about our activities, please contact us directly—we will address them promptly.
Thank you for your continued support of this important project that will improve Saint Paul Harbor for many years to come.
