Winslow Way will be closed on July 8 from 8:30am until the late afternoon west of SR 305 and east of Bjune Dr. - local traffic only 
Traffic Alert: Winslow Way Closure – Wednesday, July 8
Winslow Way will be closed to through traffic from west of SR 305 to east of Bjune Drive on Wednesday, July 8, from 8:30 a.m. until late afternoon (expected opening after 3:30 p.m.) while the City removes a hazardous tree. There will be heavy equipment, and noise should be expected while work is being completed.
A Black cottonwood tree was damaged after a large limb failed on July 6. Following an inspection, the tree was determined to pose a high risk and must be removed to protect public safety. No injuries were reported.
Detours:
- Drivers: Use High School Road.
- Pedestrians: Use the Charles Schmid Waterfront Trail.
Agency partners have been notified. A Nixle alert will be sent when Winslow Way reopens.

Instructions:
Avoid the area during work. Drivers/cyclists take alternate routes via High School Road. Walkers/rollers can use the Charles Schmid Waterfront Trail through Waterfront Park.
