Activity for July 7, 2026:
- Officer Marcum and Officer Miller responded to the Benzie County Jail for a warrant arrest. A 21-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Bean was dispatched to the 200 block of North East Avenue for a threats report. Charges will be sought on a 16-year-old male for resisting and obstructing.
- Officer Tierney responded to the 700 block of Elmwood Avenue for a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was entered into the national database as stolen.
- Officers were dispatched to West Michigan Avenue and North Blackstone Street for a traffic crash involving a motorcycle. A 23-year-old female was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
- Officer Panther made contact with a subject near Hayes Court and West Michigan Avenue. A 45-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
- Officer Frazier and Officer Soloman made contact with a subject at Orchard Place and Mitchell Street. The subject attempted to flee from officers, but was apprehended and found to be in possession of a stolen firearm. The 17-year-old male suspect was lodged at JCYC for resisting and obstructing causing injury; receiving and concealing a stolen handgun; and carrying a concealed weapon.
- Officer Beekel responded to the 200 block of North East Avenue for an assault report. Assault charges will be sought on a 16-year-old male.
- Officer Beekel was dispatched to the 1100 block of East Ganson Street for a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was entered into the national database as stolen.
