Dear residents,
 
Due to a recently established shared services agreement, all police services for the Berkeley Township section of Pelican Island will now be provided by the Seaside Heights Police Department effective 4pm on July 8, 2026.
This decision has been made in the best interests of the community and both agencies to ensure proper and efficient police coverage and emergency response. Our shared goal is to maintain the highest standard of public safety while utilizing resources in a responsible and effective manner.
If you require police assistance for a non‑emergency matter, please contact the Seaside Heights Police Department at 732‑793‑1800. In an emergency, always dial 9‑1‑1.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter and appreciate your cooperation as we continue to work to provide reliable and effective service to all residents and visitors.
