River Road between Wayside Road and Cedar Lane is closed and will remain closed overnight. The roadway is not expected to reopen until sometime after tomorrow morning's rush hour, Friday, July 10th.
Flooding this afternoon damaged the section of River Road that runs beneath the Amtrak railway arch, an area currently under construction. Engineers and construction officials require this time to assess and repair the damage. Water remains on the roadway at this hour.
Motorists should plan for additional travel time tomorrow morning and use alternate routes. Do not attempt to drive around the barricades currently in place.
LAmbiance Court residents should continue to use the back driveway to enter and exit the complex.
