Traffic Advisory - Upcoming Road Work
IMPORTANT UPCOMING ROAD WORK ANNOUNCEMENT
Borough of Haledon
On behalf of Mayor Michael Johnson and the Haledon Municipal Council, in cooperation with Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele, the Haledon Police Department advises residents that milling, paving, and striping operations are scheduled to take place beginning Thursday, July 16, 2026, through Friday, July 24, 2026, with work starting daily at 8:00 AM. Striping operations are scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026, and Monday, July 27, 2026.
The following roadways will be affected:
Belmont Avenue, from Haledon Avenue to Barbour Street
Haledon Avenue, from Belmont Avenue to Church Street
Central Avenue, from Barbour Street to West Haledon Avenue
Church Street, from Haledon Avenue to Belmont Avenue
Pompton Road, from West Haledon Avenue to Belmont Avenue
Morrissee Avenue Extension, from Pompton Road to the end of the roadway
Road Work Schedule:
Thursday, July 16: Milling – Belmont Avenue & Haledon Avenue
Friday, July 17: Paving – Belmont Avenue & Haledon Avenue
Tuesday, July 21: Milling – Central Avenue, Church Street, Pompton Road & Morrissee Avenue Extension
Wednesday, July 22: Continued Milling – Central Avenue, Church Street, Pompton Road & Morrissee Avenue Extension
Thursday, July 23: Paving – Central Avenue, Church Street, Pompton Road & Morrissee Avenue Extension
Friday, July 24: Continued Paving – Central Avenue, Church Street, Pompton Road & Morrissee Avenue Extension
Monday, July 20 & Monday, July 27: Striping Operations
Notices have been issued and Emergency No Parking signs will be posted in all designated work zones. Residents must comply with all posted signage. Vehicles parked in violation of posted restrictions will be subject to ticketing and towing.
Motorists should expect traffic delays and are strongly encouraged to avoid these affected areas and plan alternate routes during the scheduled work periods.
The Borough of Haledon appreciates your cooperation and patience as these roadway improvements are completed.
