PATRIOTIC DAY TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS

On Saturday July 11th 2026 the Township of Florence will be celebrating its annual Patriotic Day Celebration. The day will start off at 11:00 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony at East Fifth and Oak Street. There will be a parade starting at 12:00 p.m. that will begin at Oak Street and East Front Street. The parade will continue onto Broad Street coming to an end at the municipal building.
The following parking restriction will be in place for the parade:
NO PARKING BOTH SIDES OF EAST FRONT STREET AT OAK STREET TO BROAD STREET;
NO PARKING ALL OF BROAD STREET FROM FRONT STREET TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING;
NO PARKING BOTH SIDES OF OAK STREET FROM FRONT STREET TO OLIVE STREET;
NO PARKING BOTH SIDES OF EAST FIFTH STREET FROM CIRCLE TO OLIVE STREET;
ALL DAY NO PARKING
NO PARKING CEMETERY SIDE OF 9TH FROM BROAD TO CEDAR LANE.ALL DAY NO PARKING;
NO PARKING LEGION SIDE OF WEST SIXTH ST FROM BROAD STREET TO SUMMER STREET. ALL DAY NO PARKING;
*** IF YOU ARE DROPPING OFF PARTICIPANTS FOR THE PARADE, PLEASE DO NOT DROP THEM OFF ANYWHERE EXCEPT WHERE TOLD BY THE PARADE ORGANIZER. NO ONE SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF ON EAST FRONT STREET OR OLIVE STREET.****

At 5 pm vendors will be open in the rear parking lot of the Florence Township Municipal Building.
A concert will begin at 6 pm in the Waterworks Park.
The event will conclude at dusk with a fireworks display at the Waterworks Park located on Broad Street. There will be handicap parking in large parking lot next to municipal building. Additional parking in the rear of Waterworks Park off of Summer Street.
FIREWORKS PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
NO PARKING ON EAST 9TH FROM BROAD TO CEDAR LANE ON THE CEMETERY SIDE ONLY.
GATES WILL BE CLOSED TO THE CEMETERY GATES.
NO PARKING WILBUR HENRY DRIVE ON THE SOUTH SIDE FROM BROAD STREET TO CEDAR LANE.
NO PARKING BROAD STREET DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING, WEST SIDE ONLY.
NO PARKING EAST SIDE OF BROAD STREET FROM 9TH STREET TO BROOKDALE SENIOR LIVING FACILITY.
MUNICIPAL BUILDING REAR PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED FOR VENDORS.

Rain Date for the concert and fireworks only is July 12th.
